ONLINE SAFETY EDUCATION SAFETY KIT The Internet Society Trinidad & Tobago (ISOC-TT) Chapter has begun an effort focusing on the promotion of Child Online Safety in Trinidad and Tobago. In Commonwealth countries such as Uganda, many of the issues being faced are similar to ours. Not only that, due to our shared colonial histories, the laws and legal systems are quite comparable.
Internet use is revolving in so many ways and thus enabling different users especially children and youth, who connect mainly for online gaming, schoolwork assignment and social networking.
However, as these children use the internet, they face serious risks, such as online predatory, cyber bullying and consequences from revealing too much personal information.
A crucial part of keeping children safer online there is by teaching them about the online risks and how to make responsible decisions.
